                  1st International Summer School on eCare
                     - Integrated, sustainable home care

                 August 25 - 29, 2014 in Ghent, Belgium

The 1st International eCare Summer School on home care technologies is a 
mix of themed presentations, several visits to existing home lab 
facilities, technical courses with hands-on exercises covering various 
aspects such as sensor and device communication and integration, data 
modelling, processing and interpretation, smart textiles, 
service/companion robots and existing ambient intelligence 
infrastructures within a home environment.

- Sensor and device integration and communication supporting a home lab 
facility.

- Semantic reasoning for data processing in order to capture the context 
and interpret the situation of the user.

_Poster Submission:_

Participants have the opportunity to pitch their own research by means 
of a poster during an informal networking session.
The topic of a poster presentation should lend itself to the topic of 
the Summer School consisting of various techniques within a home 
environment such as:
- sensor and device communication and integration,
- data modelling, processing and interpretation,
- smart textiles,
- service/companion robots,
- ambient intelligence.
