                     2021 Military Communications Conference

The 2021 Military Communications Conference (MILCOM 2021) solicits technical
papers and proposals for tutorials and panels on current and emerging topics
applicable to all facets of military communications. We encourage professionals
in industry, academia, and government worldwide to contribute and participate.
The general forum will be open to all and accepted papers will be published in
IEEE Xplore. There will also be a Restricted Access Program to support
Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) materials and a Classified Program.


UNCLASSIFIED TECHNICAL PROGRAM

The unclassified technical program provides a venue for papers and
presentations that do not include ITAR-sensitive, CUI, classified, or
proprietary information. EDAS will be used for all unclassified submissions.
The following five tracks and three special sessions have been established to
submit papers. Contributions are welcome on (but not limited to) academic,
operational, conceptual, and any other aspects of current or anticipated
military communications, information management, cyber security, Command and
Control, systems and systems of systems, and other current and related topics.
MILCOM 2021 welcomes submissions from researchers, inventors, and technology
leaders from government, military services, industries, research laboratories,
and universities.

TRACK 1 – Waveforms and Signal Processing
e.g., Antennas & RF; Cognitive Radio; Modulation & Coding; LPD/LPI/LPE/LPG;
Software-Defined Radio

TRACK 2 – Networking Protocols and Performance
e.g., Ad Hoc, Mesh, & Cooperative Networks; SDN; Information Centric

TRACK 3 – Cyber Security and Trusted Computing
e.g., APT Detection & Mitigation; DevOps; Key Management; Tactical Cloud
Security; Emerging Concepts

TRACK 4 – Architectures, Applications, and System of Systems Perspectives
e.g., Airborne Networks; SATCOM; Proliferated LEO Architectures; JADC2;
Interoperability

TRACK 5 – Special Topics in Military Communications
e.g., Adversarial Machine Learning, Machine Learning at the Edge; Artificial
Intelligence; Big Data

Special Session – Internet of Battlefield Things (IoBT)

Special Session – NATO and Other Coalition Operations

Special Session – Communications in Urban and Subterranean Environments

Special Session – Network Localization and Navigation in Challenging
Wireless Environments


RESTRICTED ACCESS AND CLASSIFIED TECHNICAL PROGRAMS

The restricted access and classified technical programs provide avenues for
papers, panels, and workshops that contain CUI or classified content,
respectively. Attendance, participation, and paper authorship will be limited
to US Citizens holding the appropriate levels of security clearance. Please
email the program chairs directly for submission instruction. Please contact

TUTORIALS AND PANELS

MILCOM 2021 also solicits proposals for half-day Tutorials and Technical Panels
that will be part of the unclassified general forum. Relevant topics include
emerging and state-of-the-art communications and networking
technologies, cyber security, and innovative techniques applied to
military communications.
