The AIMS International Conference on Autonomous
Infrastructure,<br>
Management, and Security is a single-track event targeted at
junior<br>
researchers and Ph.D. students in network and service management
and<br>
security. It features a range of sessions including conference
paper<br>
presentations, hands-on lab courses, educational keynotes, as
well as<br>
tutorials on transversal aspects of a research activity (e.g.,
publi-<br>
cation strategies, paper reviewing, and research presentation
design).<br>
The objective of AIMS is to offer junior researchers and
Ph.D.<br>
students a dedicated place, where they can discuss their
research<br>
work and experience, receive constructive feedback from
senior<br>
scientists, and benefit from a number of practical hands-on
sessions<br>
and tutorials on emerging technologies and Ph.D./research
life-related<br>
topics. By putting the focus on junior researchers and Ph.D.
students,<br>
AIMS acts as a complementary piece in the set of
international<br>
conferences in the network and service management community,
providing<br>
an optimal environment for in-depth discussions and
networking.<br>
<br>
AIMS 2017 will focus on the theme of security of networks and
services<br>
in an all-connected world. With the rapid development of
advanced<br>
communication and networking services, providing security,
reliability<br>
and resilience while guaranteeing the best performance in a wide
range<br>
of more complex, more dynamic and hyper-connected environments,
has<br>
become crucial. To address these challenges, new paradigms, smart
and<br>
fully distributed approaches, as well as scalable and
flexible<br>
management solutions have to be investigated. The design,
monitoring,<br>
configuration, and protection of the next generation of
networked<br>
systems in an efficient, secure, and smart manner are
crucial to<br>
commercially viable and successful networks and
services. <br>

Conference Paper Submission: <br>
<br>
The paper submission is handled by the JEMS system, accessible
from the<br>
AIMS 2017 Web page and available at
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://submissoes.sbc.org.br/">https://submissoes.sbc.org.br/</a>.<br>
<br>
Authors can submit two types of papers:<br>
<br>
Full papers are expected to report substantial research
results<br>
relevant for the subjects listed in the conference topics. The
first<br>
author of the submitted paper must be a junior researcher or
Ph.D.<br>
student. Only original and full papers that have not been
published or<br>
submitted for publication elsewhere can be submitted. Each
submission<br>
must be written in English and are limited to 14 pages, including
all<br>
references and figures/tables, in LNCS paper format. Papers
exceeding<br>
14 pages, multiple submissions, and self-plagiarized papers
will be<br>
rejected without further review.<br>
<br>
Ph.D. Research Proposals are short papers describing the current
state<br>
of the student's research. The paper needs to include a
clear<br>
description of the research problem and the chosen approach, argue
why<br>
the problem is hard and the approach novel, and it has to outline
the<br>
results achieved to date. Specific, low-level technical details
are to<br>
be avoided. Papers should have no more than two(in exceptional
cases<br>
three) authors: the student and one or two advisors. Each
submission<br>
must be written in English and has to be limited to 5 pages,
including<br>
all references and figures/tables, in the LNCS paper format.<br>
<br>
Proceedings:<br>
<br>
All accepted papers will be published in the proceedings of AIMS
2017,<br>
an IFIP sponsored event. The conference will be
published in<br>
Springer's Lecture Notes of Computer Science (LNCS)
series. <br>
