****** CALL FOR WORKSHOP PROPOSALS ******

*Proposal Submission Deadline: 27 October 2025*

The IEEE/IFIP Network Operations and Management Symposium (NOMS 2026)
will be held in Rome, Italy, 22-28 May 2026. The conference will offer
five full days of original paper presentations, tutorials, workshops, an
industry program with keynotes and panels from prominent research,
industry, and government leaders, as well as technical demonstrations
and exhibits.

In addition to exciting technical symposia, tutorials, panels, and
exhibitions, we solicit proposals for half-day or full-day workshops to
be held on 18 May 2026 or 22 May 2026.

The aim of the workshops is to highlight emerging research areas, novel
ideas, and innovative applications that are not specifically covered in
the main technical program. Each workshop may include a mix of regular
papers, invited talks, keynotes, and panel discussions to foster active
interaction among attendees.

****** **WORKSHOP PROPOSAL FORMAT ********

Each workshop proposal (maximum five pages) should concisely describe
the content and objectives of the workshop and must include:
1) Title of the workshop.
2) Description of the technical issues covered, emphasizing the
timeliness and relevance of the proposed topics not addressed by the
main conference symposia (max. 1 page).
3) Workshop Organizers (names, affiliations, and contact information).
4) Short biographies of the organizers (up to 200 words each),
highlighting experience in organizing workshops/conferences,
particularly within IEEE/IFIP NOMS/IM or related venues.
5) List of potential participants, such as program committee members and
invited speakers (confirmation of participation is a strong plus).
6) Planned format of the workshop, including: duration (half-day or
full-day, tentative schedule); expected structure: refereed papers,
invited talks, hot-topic sessions, keynotes, panels (with panel
formats); and innovative and interactive workshop formats are especially
encouraged.
7) Draft Call for Papers (CFP) (max. one page).
8) Publicity and promotion plan.
9) Workshop website address (if available at proposal time; required
upon acceptance).
10) Past editions (if applicable): number of submissions, acceptances,
attendance, etc.

****** **SUBMISSION GUIDELINES ********

Workshop proposals should be submitted as a single PDF file via JEMS3.
Proposals that emphasize creativity, cross-disciplinary interaction, and
engagement with both academia and industry are highly encouraged.
Accepted workshop papers will be included in the NOMS 2026 proceedings
